State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief involving letters above a mailbox Thursday or Friday on Cambria Street in Gulich Township. The letters were aluminum with black backing. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred Thursday or Friday on Lingle Street in Osceola Mills Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly took a black and orange BMX bicycle and a multi-colored BMX bicycle belonging to the victim. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police reported a DUI incident that occurred Sunday on the Quehanna Highway in Karthaus Township. According to state police, a vehicle operated by a 50-year-old Karthaus man was stopped for a traffic violation. He was allegedly found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. Charges were filed through the district court.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred on Catty Nine Trail in Huston Township. During the incident, there was an altercation involving two Julian women. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a verbal argument escalated when Nicole L. Gass, 21, allegedly struck Tammy Jo Beightol, 39, in the face with an open hand. Then, Beightol allegedly pulled Gass’ hair and shoved her to the ground. Both women were cited for harassment.
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Thursday on North Front and East Pine streets in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known 15-year-old juvenile was reportedly setting off firecrackers during Philipsburg Heritage Days.
- State police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred July 12 in the alley behind North Second Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 40-year-old Philipsburg woman allegedly used profane and obscene language on a continuous basis. She also pulled down her pants to reveal her buttocks, according to state police. Charges are being filed through the district court.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred sometime between May 27 and July 12 in Perry Township. State police said their investigation is into logging operations, and anyone with information is please asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred July 7 on Mefferts Run Road in Johnsonburg. During the incident, a Houtzdale teen allegedly bit and scratched the victim. State police said the teen also destroyed some of the victim’s property and admitted to drinking while underage.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred at CNB Bank in St. Marys. During the incident, a known person allegedly had a friend cash a check that was not their own. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft/forgery that occurred July 11 at CNB Bank in St. Marys. During the incident, a suspect allegedly had the known victim cash a check that was stolen from the known victim. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police located an open door at a business while performing checks. Police subsequently searched the interior but did not locate anything suspicious. Police secured the building and notified the owner.
- Police received a report about an incident of trespass on South Second Street. According to police, a known person was gaining access to an apartment while the owner was away.
- Police received a report about a cell phone that was removed from a residence along South Third Street.
- Police received a report about a property dispute on Nichols Street. Those involved were advised that it was a civil matter.
- Police received a report about dogs being inside a house that is not occupied on West Market Street. Police made contact with the homeowner who advised the dogs are checked on.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with a fall patient along Williams Street.
- Police responded to a minor vehicle accident on Nichols Street. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on South Third Street and learned the driver had an active warrant through the Lawrence Township Police Department. A township officer arrived at the scene and was able to handle the warrant.
- Police received a report about a male who was yelling at his neighbors on NW Fourth Street. Upon arrival, police made contact with the male and advised him to cease his actions.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a possible burglary on Mann Road. However, it was found to be a civil issue and not burglary.
- Police were requested to assist Lawrence Township police with a domestic dispute along Park Avenue Extension.
- Police located a male who had an active warrant along South Second Street. Police made contact with the male who was able to address the warrant.
- Police responded to Clearfield Street after a dog was located along state Route 879. The dog was transported to the Clearfield County SPCA.
- Police received a report about an altercation on Reed Street. Upon arrival, police found that a male and female were engaged in a verbal altercation.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft that occurred on Nichols Street. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police responded to a Clearfield Street address for a report about a vehicle that was damaged by a BB gun. Police located the suspect and determined he was a juvenile male.
- Police reported that a set of keys were turned in and then returned to the owner.
Lawrence Township
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call at the Lawrence Park Village Apartments. Upon arrival, police found a couple engaged in a domestic dispute, and that a Clearfield male allegedly assaulted a female. He was taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland.
- Police received a report about a lost or stolen registration plate.
- Police are investigating a theft that occurred at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. A male and female allegedly entered the store and removed clothing items.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft of a check. This incident was referred to the appropriate jurisdiction.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred at the Snappy’s Convenience Store. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred at Sheetz along Route 879. It remains under investigation at this time.

Decatur Township
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute along Fairview Road. It wasn’t physical in nature, and those involved were separated.
- Police received a report about a theft that occurred on Roxy Lane. Upon investigation, police found it was a landlord-tenant issue.
- Police received a report about a mailbox being struck on Ashland Road.
- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle on Petes Road. It was removed from the roadway.
- Police reported that a portion of Fairview Road will be closed down July 29 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. due to festivities. It will be open to local traffic only in the area of Stumptown and Fairview roads.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on Stumptown Road. Motorists are reminded to drive safely through residential areas and to keep watch for children who are playing outside.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a male who was firing a gun in the 600 block of West Weber Avenue. Upon arrival to the scene, police made contact with him and found he was allegedly highly intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and charged with multiple crimes; he was subsequently taken to county jail to await arraignment.
- Police were investigating a vehicle accident that occurred in the 100 block of West Weber Avenue. While making contact with the driver, he allegedly caused a disturbance on South Franklin Street. He was subsequently placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. While being searched, police found illegal drug paraphernalia. He was charged with multiple offenses and placed in county jail to await arraignment.
- While on patrol, police witnessed a vehicle being driven in a careless manner on Liberty Boulevard. Police pulled the vehicle over after multiple violations on Beaver Drive. Upon investigation, police found the driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest for DUI, and charges are currently pending.
