Lyle Henry Snyder, 89, of Curwensville died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1927 in St. Marys, he was the son of Henry and Evelyn (Walker) Snyder.
He retired in 1992 from NARCO in Curwensville. He was Roman Catholic by faith.
He was a life member of the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co., in Curwensville, Noble Lodge No. 480 F. & A.M. in Curwensville and United Brick and Clay Workers Union and a former member of the Curwensville L.O.O.M.
He wed the former Alta Jean Laird on July 3, 1948 and who preceded him in death June 26, 2003.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale Richard Snyder; a great-granddaughter, Kendris Noel Smith; and two sisters, Sarah Jane Snyder and Verda Adamson.
Surviving are four children, Faith Ann Daniels and her husband, Gary of Glen Richey, Keith Allen Snyder and Lesa Lingle, both of Curwensville, and Vicki Jean Frankovich and her husband, Robert of Smith Mills.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Corrine Brown of Emporium.
Graveside services for Mr. Snyder will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville, with Mr. Gary Jewart officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
