John R. ‘Bob’ Johnson, 68, of Clearfield died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born March 31, 1949, a son of the late Robert N. and Margaret (Daniels) Johnson.
He worked as a body and fender repairman for cars. He had also had worked as a car painter. Mr. Johnson enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a member of the Clearfield VFW Post 1785 and the American Legion Post No. 6. Serving during the Vietnam War, he was a member of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two children, Christopher Johnson and Carrie Emrick; four grandchildren, Joshua and Payton Emrick and Kai and Orion Johnson; three brothers, Terry L. Johnson and his wife, Karin, Danny A. Johnson and Ricky N. Johnson and his wife, Jan; two nieces, Amanda Watkins and Chelsea Johnson; and a nephew, Joshua Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Johnson, on Oct. 6, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Laurel Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, 700 Leonard St., Clearfield.
