CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre Inc. (CAST) recently held its Seeds of Art Summer Camp.

Sixty-seven students in first through sixth grades participated in music, art, theater and dance and had a showcase performance at the end of the week.

Each student enjoyed several enriching activities, and made friendships that will last a lifetime.  Many students who attended this one-week camp were visiting CAST for the first time.

Funding for this summer camp was provided in part by a grant from the Clearfield Charitable Foundation.

Clearfield Area School District provided a free meal each day.  Jody Grumblatt of Liddle Gallery and Susquehanna River Arts Center assisted in arts activities.

Dana Timko of The Dance Company provided a hip-hop class to the students.  Shirley Bazilla of St. John Lutheran Church provided a drum circle.

The board of directors and numerous volunteers at CAST would like to thank these people, businesses and organizations for supporting this summer camp.

Instructors were Rachel Duke, Stacey Norris, Lew Duttry, Amy Gilga, Jen Grenus, Lisa Gormont, Jessica Engle and Andrea Stewart.  Camp Facilitator was Mason Strouse.
