TIPTON – The DelGrosso Family of Companies is gearing up for a summertime tradition – Summer Thunder® 2017.

This year’s annual fireworks extravaganza is themed as “Live The Legacy – Celebrating 70 Years of DelGrosso’s Park.”

“Each year we like to pick a theme for our show.  This year’s theme will celebrate our 70th anniversary of the park, so we have mixed in just a few Italian songs along with an array of patriotic favorites,” says Joe DelGrosso, Summer Thunder® coordinator and president of DelGrosso Foods Inc.

Summer Thunder® is set to a music soundtrack that is developed by Dave Villani of Data Music Services in Altoona.  This year’s soundtrack includes a number of patriotic songs by various artists.

A special theme moment in the middle of the show will feature some Italian classics that showcase the heritage of DelGrosso’s Park.

The fireworks are designed by Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics from Maineville, Ohio.  Members of the Rozzi Family have been designing firework shows for DelGrosso’s Park for more than 50 years.

More than 4,000 shells will light up the night sky in Tipton during the 30-minute pyro-musical spectacular.

Summer Thunder® 2017 Schedule

In the event of severe weather and the fireworks are postponed, Summer Thunder® Fireworks will be held July 7. Please monitor the Web site and social media pages for updates.
