CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week. He’s identified the fugitive as Samuel Frantz, 22, of Deitch Road, DuBois.

Frantz is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing April 21, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On April 4, Officer Lance Thompson of the DuBois City Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Frantz with possession of a controlled substance, M; use/possession of drug paraphernalia, M; and possession of a small amount of marijuana, M.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on April 4, police were on routine patrol when Thompson recognized a male for whom there was a bench warrant. Thompson made contact with the male, who was later identified as Frantz.

Frantz was subsequently detained and searched by police. He was allegedly found in possession of controlled substances and various items of drug paraphernalia.

A preliminary hearing was held April 21, at which Frantz failed to appear, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Frantz is described as a Caucasian male standing 6 feet, 4 inches tall. He has brown hair and green eyes.
