Kay F. Stiner, 81, of LeContes Mills died Monday, June 19, 2017 at UPMC Altoona.  She was born Oct. 29, 1935 in Woodland, a daughter of the late Arnold and Bessie (Lansberry) Lytle.

Mrs. Stiner was a homemaker and volunteered with Clearfield Hospice and CCAAA. 

She was a salesperson with Timberline Furniture and a life-time member of the Susquehanna C.B. Club and T.O.P.S. 

In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, painting, crocheting and canning vegetables.  She was a member of Clearfield Church of Christ, Flegal Road.

She is survived by four children, Joyce Maddas and her husband, James of Lakeland, Fla., and Jane Geiselhart and her husband, Craig, Raymond L. Stiner and his wife, Gail and James Stiner of LeContes Mills; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a son-in-law, Raymond ‘Joe’ Jackson of Clearfield; a niece who she raised, Phyllis Bloom of Morrisdale; four sisters, Levoy Barger and Rosalie Buck, both of Clearfield, Dorothy Shoffner of Morrisdale and Rosella Martin; and a dear friend, Franklin Clark of Olanta.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Von C. Stiner, on Nov. 15, 2006, and to whom she was wed June 11, 1952. 

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Jackson; two sisters, Esther Knee and Norma Milligan; and two brothers, Lee and Bernard Lytle.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Brother Malcolm Kniffen officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillingham Cemetery, Frenchville.

Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. 

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made payable to Here’s LIFE Community Based Organization and sent to Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, 113 N. Third St., Clearfield, PA 16830, so that the donation may be mailed to the orphanage organization in Africa.
