CLEARFIELD – Penn State DuBois’ Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) Club has donated a play kitchen set to the Child Advocacy Center of Clearfield County (CAC-CC).

According to District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., HDFS Club President Laura Ruane and HDFS Instructor and Advisor Jessica Clontz delivered the kitchen set to the center.  It has been placed in the waiting room for child victims.

He stated that donations are greatly appreciated, and the toys help to alleviate anxiety from children who visit the center.

PSU DuBois’ HDFS Club is very active in supporting local organizations through donations, volunteering and creating awareness.

“The Penn State Human Development and Family Services degree is one that many of our Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) members graduate with,” Shaw stated.

He expressed gratitude toward the HDFS Club for choosing to help support the CAC.
