Clifford George Kennedy, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born Dec. 24, 1933 in Osceola Mills, he was the son of the late Harold and Madeline Jones Kennedy.
On July 17, 1958, in Morrisdale, he wed Donna L. Cartwright Kennedy, who preceded him in death June 21, 2008.
Surviving are his daughter, Donna Lidgett and her husband, Dusty of Morrisdale; his grandchildren, Kelly J. Lidgett of Hawk Run, Kari L. Lidgett McDowell of Lanse and Krista L. Lidgett Shaw of Morrisdale; and his great-grandchildren, Riley, Shaylee, Bowen, Raelyn, Wyatt and Adalynn.
Also surviving are his sister, Shirley Hughes of Osceola Mills and brothers, Allen Kennedy and Jerry Kennedy, both of Osceola Mills.
Along with his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a brother, Harold Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy was a self-employed auto mechanic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. His hobby was model trains.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with the Rev. Daniel Stegeman officiating. Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard.
Family and friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
