Verda M. Graffius, 87, of Woodland died Friday, May 26, 2017 at her home. Born Feb. 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Mildred (Maines) Maines.
She married Leonard L. Graffius on Oct. 21, 1949 in Clearfield. He preceded her in death May 23, 2012.
Mrs. Graffius was of the Christian faith and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Roseann McBride, Dorothy Mabie and Donna Maines; one brother, William Maines; and a granddaughter, April Graffius.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Maines and her husband, Stanley and Mildred Graffius, both of Woodland; four sons, Leonard Graffius and his wife, Kim of DuBois, Burton Graffius and his wife, Tammy of West Decatur and James Graffius and his wife, Darlene and William Graffius and his wife, Arlene, both of Woodland; five sisters, Virginia Steele of Virginia, Vera Martel and Bonnie Hile, both of Clearfield, Iona Spade of Irvona and Lillian Hanel of DuBois; and one brother, Cyrus Maines of Clearfield.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland with Pastor Brenda Libreatori officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
