Glenna M. Wilson, 100, formerly of DuBois, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Kingston Nursing Center in Conway, SC.
Born July 30, 1916 in Vandergrift, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Lillian I. (Evans) Rakestraw.
In September of 1946, she married Fred W. Wilson. He preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1988.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Frederick “Rick” Wilson and his wife, Andrea of Franklin; a daughter, Sherry Seremet and her husband, John of Conway, SC; three grandchildren, Shelley Carson and her husband, Kevin and Monica Cross and her husband, Joseph, both of Des Moines, Iowa, and Heath Seremet and his wife, Olya of Conway, SC; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Jess Rakestraw and four sisters, Helen Shobert, Ruth Korb, Irene Shugarts and Margaret Gould.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. May 31 at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. June 1 at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
