Center Awards Winners of Art Show

CLEARFIELD – Susquehanna River Art Center of Clearfield (SRACC) awarded prizes to the winners of the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School Art Show held May 18 at the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library. 

Family, friends and fans were present for the award ceremony featuring more than 100 works of art by 59 high school students.

Laney Hudson’s piece “Sugar Rush” was awarded Best in Show; first place went to “Anastasia” by Leah Mastrine; second place went to “Morning Picnic” by Alyssa Serena; third place went to “Purple Flower” by Faith Wisor; and fourth place went to “Behind Blue Eyes” by Alyssa Twigg. The aforementioned students are pictured from left to right.

Other jurors’ awards were given to Femke Busch, Morgan Green, Madison Kisamore, Amber Morris, Nicholas Neeper, Lauren Stover, Kyler Hudson and Casen Zitzelberger.

Honorable Mention awards were given to Skyler Bumbarger, Brandon Desmett, Faith Irwin, Herschel Johnson, Meghan Kumm, Madison Oswalt, Kalee Reasinger, Makeeli Redden, Mackenzie Rowles and Danni Warren. 

The SRACC is a non-profit organization supporting local artists by increasing awareness and appreciation for the visual arts in the community. 

The center will be opening a new location on Market Street next to Scotto’s Pizza featuring art displays and events throughout the year. 

Students and community members are encouraged to visit and join as members. SRACC members would like to congratulate the winners.
