A memorial service for James Ralston Strickland, formerly of Curwensville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at the Curwensville Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Strickland, a resident of Montgomery Township since 1973, died Oct. 16, 2016 in Allentown. He was 83 years old.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Hoblitzell Strickland; son James Hoblitzell Strickland (Grace) of Mount Wolf, Pa.; daughter, Susan Strickland-Bowers (the late Paul Bowers) of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Wendy Strickland O’Connor (Michael) of Macungie, Pa.; granddaughters, Caitlin, Allison and Hanna O’Connor; and grandson, James Sheridan Strickland.
Born in Clearfield, Mr. Strickland was the son of the late Alice (Ralston) and James Z. Strickland and the grandson of George W. and Louise Ralston. He was the older brother of Lee, who predeceased him, William (Bonnie) and Kent (Michel).
