- Police reported a hit-and-run crash that occurred Friday on Reynoldsville-Falls Creek Road near Vo-Tech Road in St. Mary’s Cemetery. - State police received a report about an incident of endangering the welfare of a child that occurred in April on Saxon Hill Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, a known 55-year-old Reynoldsville man who is a Megan’s Law offender was allegedly left alone with a small child.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an assault that occurred Friday on East Spruce and North Ninth streets in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, an unknown male allegedly assaulted the victim. State police said the victim was treated at the Mount Nittany Medical Center for facial/head injuries. - State police received a report about an incident of burglary that occurred sometime Wednesday or Thursday on State Street in Rush Township. - State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred April 28 on West Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 34-year-old Altoona man and a 25-year-old Philipsburg woman allegedly engaged in a physical altercation. Charges were filed through the district court as a result.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred Friday on East Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s motorcycle. It’s described as a 1982 Yamaha Maxim with a black frame and red handlebars. - State police received a report about an incident of theft by deception that occurred between May 12, 2016 and March 31 at the Reliance Fire Co., in Philipsburg Borough. During commission of the crime, a known member allegedly made numerous purchases of gasoline for personal use with the company’s credit cards and was unauthorized to do so. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Wednesday at the New Life Center in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a known juvenile allegedly took an iPhone 6 from another juvenile, hitting it off a wall and causing damage to the screen.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Saturday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly used an object to puncture a gas tank in the victim’s Ford pick-up truck. It caused damage and the victim to lose all of the gas in the truck’s tank. State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Sunday on Ridge Road in Burnside Township. During the incident, a male allegedly sent multiple, unwanted text messages to the victim. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call along East Market Street. Upon arrival, police found there had been an altercation over the custody of a child. However, it wasn’t physical in nature, and police were able to handle it at the scene.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated male on Margaretta Street. Upon arrival, police found he was acting disorderly and intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police arrested a female for suspicion of DUI after she was stopped along North Third Street for a traffic violation.
- Police responded to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for a patient who was allegedly throwing items and being disorderly.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a possible DUI along South Second Street. The female was stopped and allegedly determined to be under the influence.
- Police responded to the riverwalk area for kids who were throwing rocks into the river without supervision. However, upon arrival, police found the kids were with an adult.
- Police responded to a psychological emergency on East Market Street. Upon arrival, police found a male in need of mental health treatment. Emergency personnel arrived and transported the male to the hospital.

- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Clearfield-Glen Richey Highway. Upon arrival, police found one person who had an active warrant, and they were housed in county jail.
- Police received a report about a traffic hazard on Route 879. According to police, it was found that a storm drain was not working properly, causing it to flood onto the roadway.

- Police investigated a fight involving two females at the Curwensville School. One female was cited for harassment.
- Police reported a female came to the station, saying she was having a psychological disorder. She was referred to the Area Agency on Aging.
- Police responded to a domestic dispute on Trails End Road. However, those involved were gone upon police arrival.
- Police assisted the Curwensville Rescue Hose and Ladder ambulance personnel with a cardiac arrest patient.

- Clearfield-based state police were assisted with locating a large underage party near the back waters of Curwensville Dam.

DuBois City
- Police received a report about a suspicious male who was possibly soliciting for work in the area of East Second Avenue. Upon arrival, police spoke with a homeowner who stated she knew the male. According to her, the male was homeless and she would give him work to do to help him out. Police cleared once they found everything was OK.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance on West Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police made contact with the caller who stated the female was upstairs. When police spoke with her, she stated she’d been going through a rough time and was very upset. After the female calmed down, police cleared the scene.
- Police responded to an accident in the area of Beaver Drive and Shaffer Road. Upon arrival, police observed two vehicles blocking the entrance of First Commonwealth Bank. Police said both vehicles had severe damage, and fluids were on the roadway. Upon investigation, police found the driver of the second vehicle was motioned into the eastbound lane and crossed over two lanes into the path of the first vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said, and minor injuries were also reported.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male in the area of Sandy Street. Upon arrival, police located the male and determined his vehicle had broken down; he was waiting for a tow truck. Police found he was driving with a suspended license and an expired inspection. Charges will be filed against him as a result.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person between homes on Howard Avenue. When police checked the area, they were unable to locate anyone.
- Police arrested a 40-year-old DuBois woman for suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop on Spring Avenue. According to police, she failed field sobriety tests and was determined to be driving on a suspended license. Charges are currently pending laboratory test results.
- Police received a report about a highly intoxicated male at a local hotel. According to the report, when police arrived, they learned he’d consumed an excessive amount of beer and vanilla extract. He was taken to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. Police said the male was on probation in Centre County and a detainer was issued for him.
- Police responded to the Penn Highlands emergency room while a highly intoxicated male was trying to leave the premises. Officers assisted staff at the hospital as-needed.
- Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call on Locust Street. Upon arrival, police found there was a small child who was playing with the phone.
- Police received a report about a male and female engaged in an argument in the first block of East Long Avenue. Upon arrival, police found the female was angry with the male because he was going to church instead of staying home with her. Police advised the couple to develop better coping skills.
- Police received a report about an intoxicated male who was being combative with staff the Penn Highlands. He was admitted to the ICU and allegedly became physically aggressive with staff. When police arrived, he had already been placed in soft restraints. Police were advised he’d be transported to jail pending a medical clearance.
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Brady Street and Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival, police found there weren’t any injuries to report, and that both vehicles were drivable. According to police, a Brockway male was traveling south on Brady Street when he failed to stop at a red light and impacted a vehicle driven by a DuBois woman.
- Police were dispatched to assist personnel with a medical emergency in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. According to police, a woman called 911 to request an ambulance after becoming ill. She was taken to Penn Highlands.
- Police arrested a 24-year-old Falls Creek man for suspected DUI after a traffic stop on Rumbarger Avenue. He failed field sobriety tests and charges are currently pending laboratory test results.
- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Liberty Boulevard and Hoover Avenue. Upon arrival, police found that there weren’t any injuries to report, and both vehicles would require towing. According to police, it was found an 81-year-old DuBois man was traveling on Hoover Avenue and proceeding through a green light when a 19-year-old Frenchville woman failed to stop for a red light, causing the collision. Police will issue a citation as a result of the accident.
- Police received a report about a DuBois woman who was being harassed by her sister on Facebook. She told police her sister was speaking ill of her on her own page. Police advised her it wasn’t harassment.
