Mary J. Colville, 98, of DuBois died Friday, May 5, 2017. Born Sept. 13, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Agnes (Rebich) Matusick.
She was married to Henry W. Colville. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1980.
Mrs. Colville retired from the Brockway Glass Company in 1980 after many years of service.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Most of all, she loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Vida of DuBois and Jean M. Strishock and her husband, Stephen of Brockway; two sisters, Elizabeth Bigar and Jane “Bunny” Astori, both of DuBois; eight grandchildren, Gary and Gregory Vida, Kristen Goodwin, Stephen Strishock, Michelle Becker, Erica Steele and Shawn and Kyle Doutt; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Doutt; a grandson, Matthew Doutt; five sisters, Madeline Fauls, Helen Matusick, Catherine Bodnar, Anna Wilson and Barbara Davis; and five brothers, George, Stephen, Joseph, Thomas and Francis Matusick.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. A scriptural wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery
