BELL TOWNSHIP – An accidental shooting sent a Bell Township man to the hospital Sunday, reported the state police at Punxsutawney.
The incident occurred at the man’s residence on Cloe Church Street. He had just finished loading a revolver when he dropped it.
State police said the man reached out and attempted to catch it in mid-air. This caused the revolver to fire, injuring him in the hand and abdomen.
According to state police, the man was transported to the Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment.
