Donald A. Tatters, 60, of Philipsburg died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born Jan. 30, 1957 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Donald R. and Olive F. (Swanson) Tatters.
He was a graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School. He was also affiliated with the Methodist faith.
He worked in maintenance for Chester Hill Borough and Philipsburg Borough until his retirement.
He was a member of the Philipsburg Amvets Post 159. He also enjoyed roller skating and was an avid NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his companion, Darlene Rowles of Philipsburg; two sons, DJ Tatters and Brian Tatters, both of Philipsburg; and a daughter, Brenda Reader and her husband, Jason of Houtzdale.
He is also survived by a brother, Terry Swanson and his wife, Peggy of Houtzdale; three sisters, Veronica Keith and her husband, James of Bigler and Doris Ann Saggese and her husband, Michael and Martha Risbon and her husband, Jeffery, all of Philipsburg; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with Pastor Sam Maines officiating.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
