BELL TOWNSHIP – A fire damaged a home Monday morning at 9468 Burnside-MaGee Hwy., in Bell Township, reported the state police at Punxsutawney.
The Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal and the Mahaffey Fire Department investigated the fire. It started around 9:20 a.m. inside the chimney flue.
According to state police, there wasn’t anyone at home, and there weren’t any injuries to report as a result of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $35,000. The homeowner did have insurance; however, two others weren’t insured, state police said.
