Barbara L. “Barbie” Vokes Kendall, 42, of Grampian died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at her residence of natural causes.

Born April 24, 1974 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Boyd Jr. and Sherry (Guelich) Vokes. 

She was a homemaker and a member of the Grampian American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her parents of Curwensville; her husband, James Kendall, to whom she was married June 10, 2009; and two children, Kristina L. McCracken and Cooper J. Kendall, both at home.

Surviving are a brother, Jason Vokes and his wife, Wendy of Falls Creek; a sister, Beth Hipps and her husband, Frank of Olanta; her paternal grandmother, Deloris Vokes of Clearfield; her beloved nieces, Amanda Vokes, Juliana Vokes and Emma Hipps; and nephews, Noah Vokes and Hunter Hipps.  Also surviving is an aunt, Susan Reed.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Dora Guelich; her paternal grandfather, Boyd W. Vokes Sr.; an aunt, Betsy Andryka; and an uncle Michael Reed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. Ronald Emery officiating.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Members of the Grampian American Legion Auxiliary will conduct memorial services at 5:45 p.m. Friday.

The family suggests contributions be made to a trust fund being set up for her children in care of the CBT Bank, Curwensville Office, 407 Walnut Str., Curwensville, PA  16833.
