Obituary Notice: Lou Gary Yingling Sr.

Lou Gary Yingling Sr., 65, of Morrisdale went to be with the Lord on Feb. 19, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born July 27, 1951 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late George “Jiggs” and Betty J. Smeal Yingling.

He married Cheryl L. Fry Yingling, who preceded him in death July 4, 2014.

Surviving are his sons, George R. Yingling and his wife, Tara, Lou Gary Yingling Jr. and his wife, Sharon and James G. Yingling and his wife, Lisa, all of Morrisdale; grandchildren, Makayla, Megan, Derek, Ethan, Natalie, Carter, Reed, Tierney, McKenna and Paisley; and a great-granddaughter, Raelynn.

He was the last of his generation. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Yingling Sr. and an infant son.

Mr. Yingling was a 1969 graduate of West Branch Area High School. He had worked as a shop foreman for Hubler Brothers, Clearfield, from which he retired in 2014.

He was a member of the Carpathian Club, Hawk Run. He enjoyed farming, hunting and hanging out in the garage.

Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at 12 p.m. at the Summit Hill United Methodist Church, Morrisdale, with Pastor Tina Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Summit Hill United Methodist Church, 821 Summit Hill Rd., Morrisdale, PA 16858.
