Kenneth A. Wayne, 88, of DuBois died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born July 15, 1928, he was the son of the late Anthony L. and Mary Edith (Logan) Wayne.
On Dec. 31, 1964 in DuBois, he married Carolyn Goldsmith Wayne. She survives.
On May 1, 1984, he retired from National Fuel Gas Co. after 36 years of service.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reynoldsville and a life member of the Sandy Hose Company No. 1. He was also a life member of the Gateway Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting and working on the family farm.
He is survived by six children, Mary Ann O’Harra of Punxsutawney, Rose Fox of Rossiter, Kenneth Wayne of Ridgway and Jason Wayne and his wife, Laurie, Cherie Shannon and her husband, Larry and Amy Fields and her husband, Roger, all of DuBois; a sister, Rose Ann Rose of Newport News, Va., 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Taylor and three grandsons.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ben Austin officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
