13 Clearfield Students Inducted into German Honor Society

CLEARFIELD – Thirteen students were inducted Feb. 13 into Delta Epsilon Phi, the German Honor Society, at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.

Membership requirements include an “A” average in German after three semesters, a “B” cumulative average and a clean record of conduct. 

Mrs. Barbara Simpson, German teacher, presided over the induction ceremony.  Students were introduced by President Zane Morgan and then presented their membership certificates by Principal Tim Janocko.

Shown, in front from left to right, are:  Jasmine Hunter, Chris Fenton, Haeley Stott, Elliot Thorp and Femke Busch, who was inducted as an honorary member. Fräulein Busch is an exchange student from Hannover, Germany this school year.

In the second row from left are: Kassidy Barnum, Chase Bell, Christian Caraballo, Noah Johnson, Peyton Priester, Kyler Henry and Hunter Hipps.

Missing from the picture was Ashley Struble.

Stott also received the “Award of Excellence” for having the highest average in German over the past two years.
