Colleen R. Cowder, 64, of Woodland died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Cowder was born March 21, 1952 in Clearfield, the daughter of Homer R. and Gertrude (Marien) Dillen.
She was owner and operator of Colleen Cowder’s Beauty Salon. Mrs. Cowder was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, enjoyed craftwork and was an Elvis fanatic.
She is survived by her mother of Clearfield; her husband, Seth G. Cowder, to whom she was married Feb. 2, 1973; four children, Jeannette M. Cowder of Clearfield, Richard R. Cowder and Jenna L. Cowder, both of Woodland, and Beth A. Shaw and her husband, Joshua of Curwensville; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Hope, Angel, Kaylee, Jimmy, Grace and Parker; a sister, Carol Stroup and her husband, Corky of Florida; and a niece, two nephews and their families.
Mrs. Cowder was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. Michael Knepp officiating.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Dale United Methodist Church.
