Helen L. Rubly, 86, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Rubly was born Dec. 29, 1929 in Woodland, the daughter of August and Margaret (Hendershot) Stucke.
She had been a private home health aide and a laborer in many local factories. Mrs. Rubly was Methodist by faith.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. She also liked to play bingo and cards.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Rubly and Kevin Rubly and his wife, Denise, all of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Larry Ray Rubly Jr., Heather Rubly, Ginger Schwartz and Briana, Cassandra and Marissa Rubly; five great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Linda Rubly of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rubly was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Harry Rubly; six brothers, Clair, Elmer, August, Walter, Henry and James Stucke; a sister, Josephine Rogers; and one son, Larry Rubly.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. John White officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. Friday until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
