Donna E. McCartney, 69, of Clearfield died Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born March 13, 1947, a daughter of the late Ted and Iva Bell (Barrett) Swatsworth.
She was a homemaker, devoting her life to raising her children and grandchildren. She also loved animals and always had a pet dog. She collected antiques, played bingo and enjoyed exercise.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; four children, Thomas McCartney of Middleton, Ind., Tracy McCartney and Trudy McCartney, both of Clearfield, and Tina McCartney of DuBois; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Ted Swatsworth of Glen Richey, Shirley Johnson of Allport and Bud Swatsworth, Sandy Burke and Mary Ida Tubbs, all of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Troy McCartney and three sisters and a brother, Doris Haag, Jo Ann Ogden, June Wisor and Ronald Swatsworth.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one’s choice.
