Thursa M. Falvo, 84, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016 at her home.
She was born Oct. 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Ronald and Gladys (Wilson) Tibbens.
She enjoyed being a member of the Coterie Club. She was also a member of NON, the Clearfield Woman’s Club, the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6 Auxiliary and the Christ United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
Mrs. Falvo was employed as the after-school program director for eight-and-a-half years at the St. Paul DiLa Sal School.
She was the last of her generation.
She is survived by two sons, Ron and Bob; two step-daughters, Yvonne and Diane, both of California; four grandchildren, Robert Selfridge, Cari Friend, Ashlee Wessel and Jason Selfridge; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Neil Selfridge in 1976 and her second husband, Salvatore ‘Sam’ Falvo, on Sept. 22, 2002 and to whom she was wed April 28, 1984 in Granada Hills, Calif.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Johnson, Donna Rowles and Patricia Siverlin, a brother, Charles Tibbens and a grandson, Brandon Selfridge.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert Croft officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 705 Dorey St., Clearfield.
