State Police Investigating Disturbance Involving Weapon in Jones Twp.

JONES TOWNSHIP – A male suspect has been accused of brandishing a weapon during a disturbance Friday in Jones Township, reported state police at Ridgway.

According to the incident report, state police investigated a disturbance on Naval Hollow Road. It occurred when a known suspect entered a camp, and he engaged in a verbal argument with multiple people.

After the suspect was asked to leave the camp, he allegedly pulled a handgun from a jacket pocket. State police say he pointed it at the victim while standing in close proximity. He then fled the scene, and there weren’t any injuries reported.

State police are continuing their investigation, and criminal charges are currently pending at this time. State police were assisted by the St. Marys City Police Department.
