FOX TOWNSHIP – Four people have been accused of assaulting and resisting state troopers during a motor vehicle crash investigation Friday in Fox Township, reported state police at Ridgway.

According to the incident report, state police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Toby Road near Thompson Hill Road. Upon arrival to the scene, three troopers encountered five people, all of whom were exhibiting signs of intoxication.

State police say four individuals became “uncooperative and violent.” During the course of the investigation, David A. Sarantoulias, 20, of Kersey allegedly assaulted one trooper.

The four people involved in the altercation were charged by state police with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and underage consumption.

The adults, Sarantoulias and Treavus M. Seawright, 18, of Kersey were arraigned in district court and lodged in the Elk County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. Charges are currently pending against the others in juvenile court, state police say.
