OSCEOLA MILLS – More than 175 children’s books were delivered, in conjunction with “Make A Difference Day,” to the Osceola Mills Public Library as part of the Clearfield Area United Way’s Reading Ripples Project.
Nearly 5,000 books have been distributed to children throughout the county since the project was born. “Kids who love reading live happily ever and we believe this project has made a wonderful difference in our area,” stated Nancy Pinto of the United Way.
Any group or company that would like to collect new or gently-used books for the Reading Ripples Project is asked to please contact the CAUW office at 814-765-6521 for more information.
“It is a great partnership to be able to work with these recipient groups; remember your favorite childhood book and the way it cold fire your imagination … that is why the United Way believes early-grade reading is so important,” stated Brenda Terry, CAUW treasurer.
