DUBOIS – Students at DuBois Central Catholic will be celebrating the holiday season with school events that remind everyone that Jesus is the Reason for the Season.

The annual Family Advent Celebration will take place at 1 p.m. Dec. 11 in the auditorium with both choral and instrumental selections.

Also, the middle school’s Drama Club will present “The Good News,” a play that teaches the importance of helping the less fortunate and the calling to give of ourselves for others, which is the message of the Birth of Jesus.

Families attending are asked to bring a family-sized tray of treats to share for the social in the cafeteria following the middle school performance.

At 2 p.m. Dec. 18, students in Kindergarten through fifth grade will present Carols & Cookies, an afternoon of music and song, with a social to follow in the cafeteria.

At 9 a.m. Dec. 21 in the auditorium, pre-school students will be presenting the Many Shapes of Christmas for families and friends.

“Without a doubt, every event at DCC focusses on one theme:  Jesus is the Reason for the Season at DCC,” school officials say.
