Obituary Notice: Jeffrey Paul Gilmore

Jeffrey Paul Gilmore went peacefully to his home in heaven Dec. 1, 2016 at the age of 60 after fighting a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

He loved his family more than anything and will be missed every day by his wife of 33 years, Faith (Kauffman); his children, Hannah, Adam, Allison and Trey; his parents, James and Martha (Hatch) Gilmore; and his sisters, Debbie Elwood, Pam Fraicola and Missi Kocinski.

He was born May 29, 1956 in Meadville, Pa., but spent most of his life living in Greensburg and DuBois. He owned and operated his own successful business, Land & Mapping Services for 20 years.

His children will always remember him as a generous and loving father who encouraged them to pursue Christ and supported them in all their endeavors.

He was passionate about sports and spent a majority of his life coaching his own kids and countless others in the DuBois area. Later, he became a PIAA basketball and soccer referee and has always continued to pursue his own love of fishing and being outdoors.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home and again from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the DuBois Alliance Church.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. Burial will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.

Although, flowers are appreciated, memorials may be sent to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
