Martha A. Hoskavich, 96, of DuBois died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Dec. 22, 1919 in Soldier, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Francis (Zelinski) Sweka.
On Oct. 4, 1947, she married Joseph “Barney” Hoskavich. He preceded her in death Sept. 7, 2008.
She was a homemaker and previously worked at Rockwell Manufacturing.
She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she worked at the Polish Festival for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph and Daniel Hoskavich, both of DuBois. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Bernard, Joseph, Steven, Edward, Henry, William, Alec and John Sweka and three sisters, Amelia Debrosky, Anna Wascovich and Celia Sweka.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations to be sent to the Christ the King Manor Memory Support Unit, 1100 W. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801, in appreciation of their excellent care of Mrs. Hoskavich.
