Berdeana Ruth Powers, 84, of Penfield died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at her home.
Born Oct. 15, 1932 in Aurora, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Roger and Mary Ellen (Knotts) Spessert.
On July 11, 1955, she married Bernard E. Powers Jr. He preceded her in death May 21, 2010.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked for the Bell Telephone Company. She loved to paint by numbers, read, crochet and do needlepoint and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two sons, Bernard E. Powers III and Stephen E. Powers and his wife, Robin, both of Penfield, and two grandchildren, Erin K. Powers and Matthew C. Powers.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mable Baker and Delores Smith.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home and again from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of services.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor David Nagele officiating.
Burial will be in Lakelawn Cemetery.
