PHILIPSBURG – Officials of the Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership have announced that five candidates for seats on the partnership’s board of directors have been elected for three-year terms on the board.
“In late-October, the MVEDP held its annual board of director’s election,” said Stan LaFuria, executive director. “Six people were running for the five available seats on our 15-member board of directors. We received just under 50 percent of the ballots back from the partnership’s members, which was a very respectable response rate.”
“The four board incumbents of Jeff Herr, John Shimko, Bill Jones and Karen Blair were re-elected to their seats on the partnership’s board,” said LaFuria. “The newly-elected board member is Jim Richtscheit of CBT Bank.”
The other 10 MVEDP board members include: Rusty Christoff, Laura Holden, Steve Lyncha, Jim Pollock, Tom Scott, Jared Ricotta, Michael Kovalcin, Robert Steward, Bryan Bennett and Jerry McKinney.
At their board of directors meeting Nov. 15, the partnership installed new officers. The new officers include: Rusty Christoff, president; Steve Lyncha, first vice president; Michael Kovalcin, vice president; Jared Ricotta, vice president; Laura Holden, treasurer; and Jim Pollock, assistant treasurer.
The MVEDP is a private, non-profit economic and community development organization that is dedicated to working with both the public and private sectors to stimulate new investment and improvements throughout the Moshannon Valley region.
