CNB Raises $19K at Charity Golf Tournament for American Cancer Society, Purchases Car for Road to Recovery

CLEARFIELD – On June 30 CNB Bank hosted its fifth charity golf tournament and successfully raised $19,000 to benefit the local American Cancer Society (ACS) chapter.

The money raised was used to purchase a 2016 Kia Soul, which has been donated to the ACS Road to Recovery program.

Not alone in this endeavor, customers and vendors of CNB reached out with generous donations. Gifts for participants and Chinese auction item donations, sponsorships, cash donations and team sponsors allowed CNB the ability to purchase the vehicle.

“Once again, I am overwhelmed by the support of our staff, customers and vendors.  Together over the past five years, we have raised $97,550 for the ACS, which was used to support programs, such as the Wig Program, Hope Lodge and Road to Recovery,” commented Joe Bower, president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank.

“With the support of so many, it is exciting for us to be able to deliver a vehicle this year that will assist our community with transporting our neighbors to and from life-saving treatments.”

The American Cancer Society Road to Recovery program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.

Volunteer drivers donate their time so that patients can receive the life-saving treatments they need.  For more information on Road to Recovery, contact your local ACS chapter or visit www.cancer.org
