Kenneth John Britton, 56, of Ginter died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at the home of his daughter Roseanna Fye in Curwensville after a lengthy illness.
Born April 6, 1960 in Clearfield, he was the son of Kenneth F. and Ethel (Seaburn) Britton.
Mr. Britton had first been employed in the shipping department of the former Target/Bayer Clothing Group clothing manufacturer. He was most recently the shipping supervisor for Navco (Navasky Clothing) in Philipsburg.
He was United Methodist by faith. He was a member of the Ramey Volunteer Fire Co., a social member of the Curwensville Rescue Hose & Ladder Company and a former member of the Janesville VFW.
On Aug. 26, 1978, he wed the former Angela Supenia, who preceded him in death Oct. 4, 2006.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Britton. He was the last member of his generation.
Surviving are two children Kenneth Michael Britton of Ginter and Roseanna Marie Bernice Fye and her husband, Shawn of Curwensville; four grandchildren, Noah Michael Britton and Cooper Thomas Britton of Clearfield and Kamden Michael Fye and Chase Russell Fye of Curwensville; an aunt and uncle, Carl Sr. and Thelma Heaton of Curwensville; and an aunt, Connie Seaburn of Hyde; as well as numerous cousins.
Funeral services for Kenneth Britton will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with Elder Monique Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery Ansonville.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville.
