Obituary Notice: Alma “Jean” Klingensmith

Alma “Jean” Klingensmith, 77, of DuBois died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at her home.

Born June 27, 1939 in Johnsonburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl A. and Mabel C. (Norlin) Swanson. She was a graduate of DuBois Area High School.

On June 30, 1957, she married Richard “Dick” K. Klingensmith.  He survives.

She worked at Montgomery Ward Co. in DuBois.  Prior to that, she worked at Maple Avenue Hospital.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.  She was an active member in the DuBois Nursing Home Auxiliary and a member of the DuBois Lioness Club.

She is survived by two sons, Keith A. Klingensmith of DuBois and Richard S. Klingensmith and his wife, Beth of Shermansdale, Pa.; a brother, James Swanson and his wife, Betty of Brockway; and a sister, Carla Adamson and her husband, Robert of DuBois.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastors John and Amy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
