Carol A. Cunningham, 76, of Osceola Mills died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born Jan. 4, 1940 in Port Matilda, she was a daughter of the late Carl D. and Mary Leona (Streightiff) Price.

Mrs. Cunningham was a graduate of Tyrone High School. She retired from Penn State in 1997.

She was of the Methodist faith. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a Jeff Gordon fan.  

She was married to George R. Cunningham, who died July 1, 2011.

Mrs. Cunningham is survived by five children, Wanda A. Smith and her husband, William Jr. of Morrisdale, Brenda S. Luzier of Maryland, James L. Cunningham and his companion, Laura Shingledecker of Philipsburg, R. Carl Cunningham and his fiancée, Susan Jones of Lanse and Georgia C. Bryan and her husband, Dick of West Decatur.

She is survived by 14 grandchildren, Brian Kostyak, Melissa Kostyak, Melinda Hanes and her husband, Martin, Jason Cook and his wife, Tessa, Justin Cook and his wife, Jaimie, Baren Berg and his wife, Kristen, Jordan Luzier, Cory Bryan, Miranda Zeigler and her husband, John, Nicholas Bryan, Raymond Cunningham Jr. and his wife, Belinda, James Cunningham Jr., MeKayla Ahlberg and MeLesha Ahlberg.

She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betsy Couturiaux of North Philipsburg and Mary Lou Peffer of Philipsburg; and two dear friends, Tawnie Phillips and Tara Johns.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Wayne Price.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg, with Pastor Donald Smith officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Port Matilda RD.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
