According to the Senior Class of DuBois Central Catholic High School, Charlie is a lucky man!  Not only is he to marry the delightful Abby on Friday, but he also is lab assistant to Professor Gruber and Doctor Zapotka, two zany scientists who are on the verge of a phenomenal discovery,  a truth serum.  What could go wrong?

This crazy scenario is the background for this year’s senior class play, Suitable for Hanging, which will be presented on Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12, at DuBois Central Catholic High School at 7:30 p.m. each evening.

This comedy finds Charlie Hackle (Pedar Garred) working in the lab of Doctor Zapotka (Riley Meyers) and Professor Gruber (Riley Assalone).  He is in a dazed dilemma when he misses his wedding day to Abby (Rebecca Pifer).   His roommate Sam Adams (Michael Misiewicz) tries to guide him through his predicament.

As the story unravels, Charlie discovers a body in his closet (Jackson Frank) and two new inhabitants of his apartment; they are the dazzling scatterbrain Tina (Libby Maurer) and the sultry beauty Hilga (Alexsis Kosko).

Abby’s mother (Trisha Gupta) and Charlie’s mother (Gabby Caruso) arrive, expecting to attend a wedding.  However, they find Sam, the ad guy, grooming the Wrenn Sisters… Maxi (Sadie Peck) and Mini (Jordan Frank), who feel compelled to practice their act in this crazy apartment.

Of course, Frank Raney (Jake Ishman) brings international intrigue, hypnotism and the law to thicken the plot. In the end, Charlie ultimately gets the girl … along with the goods on the two arch spies, but not before everybody accidentally has a ‘go’ at the truth serum as the professors make a startling discovery!
