Karen E. Gormish, 74, Patton died Nov. 1, 2016 at UPMC Altoona. She was born Jan. 13, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of Willard V. and Mildred C. (Klang) Tilyou.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gormish.
She is survived by her children, Malizia “Missy” (Robert) Fox of Hastings and Paula (Bill) Carlson of Brooklyn, NY; her step-sons, Richard Gormish of Altoona and Dennis Gormish of Florida; her granddaughter, Jenna (Tim) Miller of Altoona; and great-granddaughter, Adia Miller.
She was 1960 graduate of Cooper High School, Lance. She was then employed as a licensed practical nurse in the pediatric unit and emergency room at Clearfield Hospital until her retirement in 1975.
She enjoyed watching British television shows, spending time with her family and walking in the Patton area. She was a loyal animal supporter.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, PA 16668.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Patton, with Pastor Laura McCombie officiating. Committal will be in East Ridge Cemetery.
