September was Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and to help raise awareness, Timberland Federal Credit Union hosted its ninth annual golf outing.

Along with raising funds at the outing, the staff donated and proudly wore gray polos with the TFCU logo in purple to show support.

The staff would like to thank their members for donating and writing their names on a forget-me-not to be displayed throughout the three branches.

The staff also thanked its sponsors for the golf outing: Lezzer Lumber, Mid-Atlantic Corp., Jefferson Paving, Elite Marketing, Sliver Front Restaurant, Steve Schwartz and Associates, Fire House Pizza, GANT Media, Bank Equipment Consulting, Sunny 106.5, Zito Media Communications, Martin’s, Hallstrom Constructions, Lakemont Park, Way Office Plus, X-Treme Wear, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 4454 and the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association.

“Together as a credit union, we were able to donate $1,221 to the Alzheimer’s Association. I am proud that we again have been able to support our local community in the fight against Alzheimer’s. The 2016 DuBois Walk to End Alzheimer’s has raised over $25,000, and it is an honor for Timberland FCU to be part of that number,” Carrie Wood, chief executive officer, said.
