Lena M. Owens, 94, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
She was born May 18, 1922 in Goshen Township, the daughter of the late George and Cora (Koozer) Taylor.
She was the co-owner of Lighthouse Fish & Chips with her husband up until their retirement in 1984. She had also worked for the Clear-Don Clothing Factory in Clearfield.
Mrs. Owens was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church. She was involved with the Goshen Ladies Aide and Garden Club. She was a former treasurer of Goshen Cemetery since 1958 and a trustee for Goshen United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, fishing and reading. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
She is survived by her two sons, William and his wife, Ann Owens of Vero Beach, Fla., and Michael Owens Sr. and his wife, Linda of Clearfield; eight grandchildren, Dawn (Tim) Shaw, Ann (Ken) Barnes, Stacy (Mark) Parent, Susan Owens, David Owens, Michael (Crystal) Owens Jr., Lisa (Rich) Heberling and Brian (Brandy) Owens; 21 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Christine Ogden of Goshen and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold G. Owens; daughter, Betty Anderson; great-granddaughter, Britani Owens; and brothers and sisters, Zella Harter, Paul Taylor, Buela Cartwright, T. Lee Taylor, Cecil Taylor Jr., Cortes Taylor, Janath Taylor, Elma Jury, Merril Taylor, George Taylor and Cleda Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at Goshen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Henry officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
