Anastasia “Tash” Murone, 93, of DuBois died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at Christ the King Manor.
Born April 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Julia (Leshga) Hoskavich.
On April 14, 1945, she married Charles S. Murone. He preceded her in death Aug. 29, 1993.
She worked for Levine Bros. in DuBois for 25 years. She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She enjoyed golfing and bowling. Through her husband, she was associated with the Bell Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by two sisters, Martha Esposito of Brockway and Dorothy Scull and her husband, Ronald of DuBois, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Michael “Cappy,” Stephen “Much,” Harry “Gitch” and Joseph “Barney” Hoskavich and three sisters, Mary Larson, Anna Topeck and Helen Suplizio.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 12:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
