DUBOIS – DuBois Central Catholic Elementary students (left to right) Barak Clouser, Aiden Engle, Lola Post, Kourtney Zatsick, Andrew Adamski and Mathue Volpe gladly accepted the challenge to use legos to construct a robot.

Under the direction of Chris Felix, enrichment coordinator, students used the kit entitled “Lego Robotics Mind Storm EV3” to create their robot and then will use computers to program their creation, with assistance from Sarah Winslow, elementary tech teacher.

According to Felix, the kit includes five sets of instructions to create five, different robots, making the kit a versatile enrichment activity for elementary students at DCC.

Made possible through a grant from the Glenn and Ruth Mengle Foundation, Lego Robotics can easily be disassembled for years of use.  Legos is helping DCC Elementary School meet its promise of “Keeping Faith with the Future.”
