CURWENSVILLE – Members of the Curwensville Rotary Club have supported fuel aid with a $1,000 donation.

Mark Sopic, event coordinator, visited the Rotary Club recently and explained that a local fuel aid fundraiser will help kick-off the Home for the Holidays celebration with its 10th annual concert Nov. 3 at the Curwensville Christian Church.

This concert, along with numerous local fundraising events and private donations, benefits the Curwensville Ministerium’s fuel fund. This is a local effort to provide emergency aid to those in the Curwensville area needing assistance with their heating bills during the winter months.

This year’s event features local talent performing in an “unplugged” environment; it will once again be held at Curwensville Christian Church at 700 State St., in Curwensville, beginning at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $5 and will be available at Curwensville merchants and also at the door the evening of the concert.

As always, 100 percent of the ticket sales go to the Ministerium’s Fuel Fund, and all performers donate their time and talents toward helping others.
