PennDOT Invites the Public to Vote for “Fan Favorite” in Paint the Plow Contest

CLEARFIELD – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to choose the “Fan Favorite” of the District 2 “Paint the Plow” contest by “liking” their favorite in the contest photo album on the PennDOT Facebook page.

Voting is now under way and will remain open until 12 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20. The photo in each album with the most likes will be named “Fan Favorite”.

“District 2 was thrilled to offer this program to our schools in Clearfield County”, said District 2 Executive Karen Michael. “We encourage everyone to vote for their favorite plow. The student art work is impressive and we’re proud to be able to shine a spotlight on their efforts.”

This is the first year District 2 has held the competition and chose to concentrate the contest in Clearfield County. All schools in Clearfield County were invited to take part in the contest and five schools are participating, including Clearfield, Curwensville, DuBois, Harmony, and Moshannon Valley.  You can vote for your favorite District 2 plow by visiting the Paint the Plow  page.

The plows will be mounted to a plow truck in the areas of the respective school districts for the upcoming winter season.
