One person was killed and dozens were injured Thursday morning when a tour bus wrecked in north Georgia, authorities told CNN and CNN affiliate WSB.
A motorist who passed the wreck told CNN it looked like the bus ran into the side of a truck.
“The front of the bus was destroyed and it appears to have T-boned a flatbed,” said Jessica Crenshaw.
Gilmer County EMS director Tony Pritchett said the bus was carrying 30-40 people and that one person was killed. WSB reported that 35 people were hurt and were taken to local hospitals.
The wreck happened on Highway 515 at the intersection with Whitestone Road, the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office said.
