DUBOIS – Students in Sarah Winslow’s tech class at DuBois Central Catholic Elementary School listen to instructions before beginning their classroom lesson using Microsoft Windows 2016.
Winslow, who holds state certification in Pre-K-12 Technology through Lock Haven University, has second graders learning the basic word processing tools through such exercises as selecting fonts and page color, inserting pictures and creating borders as well as basic typing skills.
Winslow says, “With every classroom in all four wings of DCC now equipped with Google Chromecast, teachers can more easily present their lessons and materials in a procedure upgraded from using the typical projector.”
She adds, “Our one-to-one technology allows every student, pre-School through grade 12, the hands-on learning that prepares them to advance further and faster as educational technology moves forward.”
Installing Google Chromecast on every new HD TV ensures the school is “Keeping Faith with the Future,” school officials said.
