CLEARFIELD – The Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic/Animal Welfare Council will hold a Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Clearfield.

It will take place at the Express Café parking area and is being held in conjunction with the Clearfield Revitalization Corp.’s Fall Festival.

Festival-goers are invited to bring pets in costume and to dress up, as well.  The pet parade is free to enter, and prizes will be awarded; plus, each pet will receive a treat bag.

All animals must be leashed and current on vaccines.  No animals should be forced to wear costumes that cause any discomfort or injury, organizers say. Guest judges will be judging the costumes.

There will be a booth providing information about the clinic and selling AWC memberships and “Be Kind to Animals” T-shirts to support local animals.

Also, there will be a chicken barbecue, sponsored by the Railroad Street Tavern, to benefit the clinic and a “Chance auction” with many prizes.

The dinner consists of a half chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans, a roll and butter and it is $9.  The dinners are going to be available at the Railroad Street Tavern from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets are available in advance by calling 814-857-5280, 814-762-8533 or 814-765-6123.
