CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Planning & Community Development office has announced that it will be conducting an income survey on behalf of Clearfield Borough during October and continuing until Nov. 15.

Survey forms will be mailed to randomly selected residents of the borough using addresses. The planning office and borough officials ask for your assistance during this time.

According to Lisa Kovalick, Clearfield County community development specialist, the survey is confidential and being conducted to identify the eligibility of Community Development Block Grant activities.

Approximately 425 surveys will be mailed out, and they are intended for the person or persons residing at the address it is mailed to.

The survey consists of six questions.

1) How many families currently reside at this address?

2) How many persons are there in your family, including yourself?

3) Using the table on survey, you will find the number of persons in your family and using the annual family income amount as noted on the form, you will circle whether your total *family income is above or below amount shown.

4) You will be asked to check if you are a female head of household.

5) You will note the number of disabled persons.

6) You will be asked about ethnicity and race.

Individuals who receive a survey should complete and return it promptly. To assure a successfully sampling size of the survey, the planning office will conduct phone calls and door-to-door visits of surveys not returned to our office.

If you receive a survey and have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Lisa Kovalick at 814-765-5149.

*The number of persons in a family and corresponding income listed on the survey is based on the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Section 8 income guidelines for Clearfield County.
